Betty
Hardy's
beautiful
blue
Professional
Tote with
striped
handle and
accents.
A shop in Burseryd, Sweden call Tyger
& Ting, www.tygeroting.com has
been selling lots of my Carol's
Convertible Purse patterns and they sent
me a picture of the sample they have in
the shop. It is very elegant looking. They
have placed the fabrics in a different
order than on the pattern, but I love it!
Thank you for sending me a picture of
your sample.
Annette Praay made this beautiful Janet's Jewelry Case as a
"Sewing Traveling Case". Annette made this for her Mom who
carries this with her when she travels. She puts the scissors in
the necklace area, thimbles on the ring holder and pins on the
earring/pin holder. And adds small sewing supplies in the two
pockets. Thanks Annette for a great idea!
Ann Thompson
took a picture
of an Iris
blooming in her
yard and added
it to the front
pocket of her
Raleigh Purse.
What a beautiful
way to carry
your garden
with you.
My first "As You Like It" Purse class at Bernina World of Sewing in Raleigh was a success! I
have been teaching there for 15 years and worked there for 11 of those years, so it's always so
much fun to go "home" and see my friends. Thank you Jenny, Gail, Mary Sue, Beth, Sandra and
Pamela for making it so fun!

Jan Jones made this gorgeous Professional Tote for her
granddaughter, Tacey. Tacey will be graduating in Fashion
Design this spring from CSU in Fort Collins, CO. She spent last
summer studying in Paris. In the picture at the upper left, Jan
printed a picture of Tacey's own drawings for her class in Paris.
The picture on the lower left shows a photo of one of the many
mills Tacey visited in Paris.
Jan added metal feet to the bag and made a hard bottom that fits
in between the lining and main bag.
Tacey was "blown away" with the wonderful gift her
Grandmother made for her and will be taking it with her to New
York this fall when she starts an internship.
Thank you Jan for sharing your beautiful pictures and gift. What
a lucky talented granddaughter!! (She must take after her
grandmother)
Kathy Jones made a brown purse and a black purse plus 2 flaps for each one. She is
already addicted and making another one for her daughter.
